100 days of art

Ohh thanks, but since you think the oc is a she I guess I've still gotta work on it lol. I'm no good at drawing guys and plus-sized boys are even more of a struggle. Glad it looks more 3d tho and the hair turned out well. Some good and some bad ig xd

Started this sketch of my fl and her bestie yesterday, still just a wip i'll try to finish today

Their outfits and hairstyles are "my little pony" inspired, something I'm doing as a homage to the end of my teen years lol

Motto of the day:
Yeah this works (hand drawing method)

And I will do daily poses and faces from now on.
I feel like having a good run

Still working on this sketch of Mora and Mandy lol, but I've gotten more of it done. it's much more time-consuming than previously anticipated

Well, finished the picture finally, after three days

and did another lesson from the 30 day art plan I'm following

Their hair and outfits are inspired by my childhood favorite My Little Ponies Rainbow Dash and Minty

I like those 30 days of art plans, I made one for figure drawing,
the course itself was not so good but it still gave me a lot inspiration
and things to learn from like a proper step by step method

Day 29, that´s what I got so far in the morning, the head took a long time because
I was freehanding it after tracing over a reference and I had to correct it many times.

I will do some poses later. I worked on an older 12 panel cartoon I started some time
ago and will continue to write the dialogue for it

my brother had sent me this art teacher's year-long course, but i figured i'd start with his shorter one since I've never followed one before

Day 30
Hands, again not my favorite pose, I´m not happy with but it´s usually only poses
that I will not have in any comics, so I just see it as a good and callenging practice.

And her is how far I´m with the portrait I started yesterday, on the left is how far I am
right now, on the right the reference. I will continue tomorrow. 1,5 days is long for me
to work on the same piece, that means I have to train being more patient.
It took Leonarda Davinci 16 years to paint the Mona Lisa and he probably wasn´t
even finished when he died or happy with it

I will reward myself with some fun stuff this afternoon and I´ll continue working
on the storyboard for the 16 panel cartoon I´m working on. I´m pretty happy
with it so far and will soon start looking for reference material

Day 31, I don´t have enough time and energy to draw the full turnaround for
the hand today, so I just drew one hand and I also tried to draw one quickly,
that´s the one on the bottom with the apple. That´s how I would probably draw
it in a comic.

Then I conitued the portrait. It´s not 100% accurate but it feels like doing
a puzzle at this point. I will try and finish the portrait in in the next week(s),
I don´t know how long it will take me because I have no clue about the coloring
process right now. I have only done flat coloring + minimal shading so far and
never learned more about it.

I always felt like I want to get the steps before the coloring, instead of trying
to make it look fancy before the foundation is good

Yesterday was my day off, so i just made another sketch of Mandy. I'm trying to workout her character design, but I'm not satisfied with it yet.

Started working on a headshot of Mora to try to figure out how I can give her skin that reads as black while leaving her features visible but I didn't have the energy to finish it. Just not feeling well or having any good art days this week, unfortunately. Not sure if her features are visible to anyone else? yes? no?

Day 4 of that art lesson thing

I don´t know the models name, it´s one of the portraits of a course I bought
(doodlewarriors). I like his facial feattures

Day 32, only a very short practice session today because I´m really exhausted from
the concert yesterday
I tried to continue the portrait but I only did some minimal things and I drew one
hand

I have to leave the portrait at this rough and not corrected stage for day 33 and I only have time for
one hand

And I drew this bird because I´m waiting for the other musicians to come to the rehearsal and they
are stuck on the Autobahn
