100 days of art

Welcome back
I´m on a training routine too, I didn´t upload anything but will again

My plan for february is to finally figure out how arm bones work,
how they turn in different positions. It it´s really hard for me to
imagine stuff like that while I´m drawing so I´m learning this
one little step at a time. Today I´m only focusing on the joint
of the arm in this position

I admire how dedicated you are to every detail of how the body moves when it comes to your art

There is one problem with it, it´s theoretical and scientific and it takes
a lot of my creative energy, but it´s also very satisfying when figure
drawing becomes easier.

It´s good that you took the break, your drawings look like you got new energy
and they also changed

I'm afraid to draw her hair but I must

I forgot how much I love these two, just sketching them makes me happy

[Lensing]

I never rest and that´s a mistake I´m doing

Hair is the hardest feature to draw. Here are some things I learned about drawing hair:
-it´s hard to place when you don´t draw the skull underneath the hair
-it has volume / distance to the skull
-drawing the hairline on the skull makes it easier / possible
-big silhouette first
-then big 3d shapes
-then shading

The very last thing are single hairs.
It´s all pretty much the difference how people would instinctively
draw hair.

I didn´t really know what to draw today, so I copied some of the "How to draw Marcel"
book drawings. It probably would be fun to copy the whole book like that but I don´t
know if I have the patience to do that

Ten minute sketch of a black bird from reference. It's wings are hibiscus leaves and I feel like this represents me very well XD

I almost forgot how much I love drawing animals. I used to draw a lot of really detailed animals, from reference, mixed with plants and quirky things like that, but I haven't done it in years. Doing it again today made me so happy.

I don´t like using prepared linework, so I tried to redraw it.
