Marked by his blindness, which his parents perceive as a crippling weakness, Ra faces a harrowing sentence from his own family: execution. In this tumultuous beginning, his fate takes a turn when the high council of Arcnologia, functioning as a senate alongside the monarchy, intervenes. They vote in favor of his survival, sparing him from the cruel decree of his parents.
Amid this turmoil, a councilman named Vorenus steps forward. He takes young Ra under his wing, providing him with a home and nurturing him with the hope that one day he will rise in rebellion against King Zathroth. As Ra grows, he endures the harsh reality of societal rejection. His blindness, seen as a curse from destiny, makes him an outcast, shunned by those around him.
Upon reaching the age of eighteen, a significant day arrives for Ra at the academy. It's time for him and his peers to have their souls assessed, a rite of passage for students of magic. Ra approaches the soul stone with anticipation, placing his hand upon it. Contrary to expectations, the soul stone does not display any color indicative of elemental mastery. Instead, it remains silent, revealing Ra to possess a "voidic soul." This rare revelation means that Ra has the unique compatibility with more elements. Ra chooses to specialize in fire magic.
During his time at the academy, Ra befriends an orc named Ruzad. The two share a bond over their frequent sparring sessions, honing their skills together.
