I've been drawing for a while, but I guess I'd like to show how I improved during drawing my current comics
"The Fate!" has started as a series of short comics answering other people's questions to my character.
This was drawn in March, 2018
I tried different things, shading and line styles and just drew as often as I could. This is what I came to in June, 2018
In September I understood that short comics answering questions are not enough for me. There were a lot of characters already, and me and my beloved has imagined many things about them. We created a number of couples. And I started to work hard for a big story.
And in December, 2018 I've published the very first page of "The Fate!"
It's been 9 months since then, we're about to celebrate our first year. And this is how the latest pages look like now:
I experimented a lot on my style, shading and finally found something that is fast enough to publish twice a week and not to die XD I feel better not only about my drawings improved, but also about technical things like "what page format should I use?", "how should I work with text, speech bubbles, etc?", "how should I combine frames?". I still feel that I have some weaknesses (like I hardly ever draw complex backgrounds or still have troubles with complex scenes). But I really like how it's going and work as much as I can to improve. I guess the main thing is just to draw everyday and follow people who inspire you. And of course even a tiny free tutorial may be a great help
