I've been poking around this forum for the last day or so so I decided to make an introduction thread!

I'm meat, a 19 year old girl who likes to make and read comics. ^^
I have a lot of interest in underground art and horror stuff... So if you wanna talk about that, I'm all ears! My favorite horror movie is The Shining.
But on the reverse side of things I also really like romance... Specifically boys love stuff. I like the super old 70s-80s era BL manga that was all romantic and pretty!

Anyways I combined these two themes into my current webcomic, Saints. It's a horror comic but I've carried over some of those romantic themes from early BL manga. If I had to describe the comic, I would call it a story about disillusionment. Nothing is really as it seems.

Anyways I hope we can get along! I look forward to meeting you guys and reading your comics! ^^

I've actually seen your comic some months ago and I was keeping an eye out for more pages before subbing. Really nice colors!
I can appreciate horror, though it's so hard to convince anyone I know to watch with me so I haven't seen many horror movies. I really like John Carpenter's The Thing though. I like supernatural stuff in general which is obvious from two of my series (DH and EW). My other series HH doesn't have much to do with it, but it is a male romance.

Anyway, hope you have fun here in the forums!

I think with horror movies the best option is to watch them by yourself at 2 or 3am. xD (kidding)

I am probably not going to be reading your comic, because I am a big old scaredy cat - horror is really not my cup of tea. Like, seriously now - I get nightmares from watching crime shows with autopsy scenes. D:

But I bet you'll find a lot of readers around here - we seem to be home to a lot of horror fans!

welcome to the forum. ( happy pills on the left, strong coffee down the hall, sharp pencils two floors up)

horror is not my best subject as apart from werewolves and vampires (not including the ones that twinkle in daylight) I cannot handle horror.
but I do like to write about subject others fear to tread and explore the human condition.

I must also say as a former keeper of ferrets a rabbit name meat is kinda funny ( but that's my dark British humor kicking in again)

I feel like modern horror films aren't that scary anymore because they rely too much on jump scares and sound effects and not on visuals... But this is my personal opinion.

However, I can recommend a few good anime!
"Another" is really good, and so is "Corpse Party"!
"Cat Soup" isn't a horror, but it'll creep you out for sure.

"the Darkness falls " ghost kills everyone fast and horror scenes aren't dull and slow and my friend doesn't slept in between the movie when we watched lol.
Others might be Dead Silence(similar to darkness falls),shadows of sleepy hollow,ghost machine some others too but don't remember their names
Also i find Coraline a good animated horror theme movie.

I am going to try watching the Darkness Falls. I've watched Dead Silence before because I enjoyed Insidious franchise and wanted to watch other horror by James Wan. Coraline is fun and entertaining and the fact that it's by Neil Gaiman is a huge boost for me. Thank you so much! These days I try to find good ones on Sundance website but I am slowly exhausting that list.

I love a good horror movie! Whenever my cousins and I get together we have horror movie marathons. We literally just watch everything. I actually used to be terrified of them but now they just make me laugh at all the silliness... unless its about creepy old people. I terrified of horror movies with creepy old people D:
