Oh, I definitely still believe in my novel – just not so much in this platform anymore. Seven active weeks and thirty-two views don’t exactly scream “momentum.” Funny thing is, on another site where I only posted the prologue and one episode – no forum, no promo – it’s already at two hundred views.
I’m actually so confident in the story that it already has its own Discord, TikTok, Instagram, Bluesky, personal website, and is live on two more platforms. But being a grown-up means knowing when to stop feeding a dead algorithm – so for now, I’m freezing this one.

I think that people here only like comics ,this is one of the reasons why many people don't watch them, however, I agree with you that the viewing numbers are very low

Then I might come back once I turn it into a full comic. Though the novel already has beautiful illustrations from a great artist, and they didn’t attract much attention either. I think the issue lies more in the philosophy behind the story itself – it’s quite heavy in content.

I just returned to Tapas after about 4 months away.
When I left, I had posted 7 episodes and there was almost no activity, so I stopped updating here.
Now I come back and see around 1,100 views… but I still haven’t reached the first Tapas milestone of 25 subscribers. That honestly surprised me.

Is this normal? Do people often read without subscribing?

Just trying to understand how things work here.

Haha that sounds like the classic author situation.
We disappear for months and secretly hope readers are still emotionally attached to our characters when we come back.
I guess stories just keep living quietly in the background. People stumble on them later, binge a few episodes… and we only notice when the views suddenly move.
So yeah, maybe our stories are doing better on hiatus than we think. That would be the funniest plot twist.

Slow-burn, found family, emotional damage and chaos with warmth? That’s a dangerous combo. I’m in.
I actually like stories that follow characters from childhood to adulthood – you really get to see how they break… and hopefully heal a little along the way.
I’ll check it out. Good luck with the serialization. Multi-volume projects are a marathon.

That’s actually a pretty solid ratio. 13 subs from ~1.3k views isn’t bad at all.
Also “people turning into mutants left and right” is a very strong tourism slogan for Atmos. I’d visit.
Jokes aside, the premise sounds fun – normal life slowly colliding with a big hidden government secret is always a good setup. Curious to see what kind of chaos Jano and Clark get dragged into.

Forge (for-heh) already sounds like the kind of guy who just wanted a quiet day and accidentally ended up in a whole cosmic saga. Getting lost in another planetary system is a pretty rough commute home. Curious what kind of beings he runs into on the way.
Congrats on dropping two episodes at once – that’s a serious content burst.
