Okay this is starting to get really iffy. If straight content is treated the same as bl then it carries lesbophobic connotations (i.e. lesbian erotic content gets a pass because no dick is involved and thus it's not "real sex" and "doesn't count". This is a misconception that the sexually active part of the lesbian community struggles a lot with and also quite sexist as it implies men need to be involved somehow for the sex to matter.)
If straight content is treated like lesbian content is, then it's blatantly homophobic against gay men.
If the rules are just applied inconsistently across the entire board then it means webtoon is even more badly organized than we all thought.
I genuinely hope for the last one. But hey, google is involved, and we know how they treat gay creators on youtube, so I struggle to keep my hopes up on this.
