Find ways to incorporate rewards that wont add even more to your workload.
My patreon is set up so that only one tier has extra work for me.
This is my teir set up:
$1 - > early comic page access when available. I already try to have a buffer, this helps with that.
$3 - > Once a month sketchdumps and end of the month pngs of rendered work. I draw daily already.
$5 - > Art process videos when available or small tutorials. This is the tier that takes extra work/time out of me. But it's still not even that much.
Most supporters use patreon as a method to do just as so...support. From what I've been told by my own patrons, most see it as a donation to help me keep going. It seems to be a common mentality in the webcomic verse at least.
Find a groove that works for you and use that. It's good to look at successful campaigns but it's better to find what will not destroy you & take away time from what you wanted to create.
