Advice, whether solicited or not, is a given when doing creative work
That being the case, what is some advice that you received that you not only acted on but had a major positive impact on you?
At a Comic Con, I asked an indie author if waiting to get all your ducks in a row was the better option rather than starting to roll out a project before completely ready. She said, start now. You'll never be completely ready. Starting to move forward now will teach you why you're not ready and how to address it. And she was right.
Fellow folks of Tapas, what advice have you taken to heart?
