We have been wondering about this since the dawn of time, never really figured out the reason.

I personally think this community simply does not support trolls and immediately flags them or calls out their behavior.

I think the only time I've ever seen someone being mean on here was when someone was saying that the 10 year old protagonist of a comic should "get beaten" for "being a shitty little brat" and then trying to justify abuse towards children. Needless to say she got down voted pretty fast...

Downvoting isn't even an actual thing here. It just marks the comment for you red, but it doesn't change the number of upvotes. (Which brings people to actually comment and explain in which way they disagree, instead off just putting someone down with a single click)

But technial stuff aside:
Even here on tapas, some people have questionable opinions on some topics. Which is to be expected. But in most cases, you can actually discuss stuff with them. But yeah, there are barely any hate messages, trolls, or anything of that magnitude. In all these years on tapas I've seen one or two trolls and they got banned rather quickly.

All in all, tapastic is a save heaven.

listen, i only read my friends comic that's it but how foolish, naive and dumber then a sack of rocks are you people?! there might not be haters or trolls on your shit but to fucking say there's nothing anywhere is a blatant false hope. I would bet money on there fact there are trolls, there are haters that is life. life is full of people who get their kicks out of upsetting you, they are pathetic in their own, or they just are full of hate. I am naive myself, I try to see the good in anyone I can, but fucking hell OP and the rest of ya'll good for you for not YET finding hate, but srsly give it time.

Eh, wouldn't say there isn't exactly any troll or hater. Maybe those obvious trolls are just shut down fairly quickly. But I have seen a fair amount of rude people and got in argument with a few myself. Been called name before for trying to see things from both side, or have my opinion called invalid because I don't belong in specific group of people or have a different opinion than them. I won't go specific.

Tapas forum is a nice place for your average discussion on webcomic making, but just avoid very opinion-based topic or controversial topic, yea?
