So I'm not sure if it's something doing wrong but for the second week in a row, I've gotten only two views on the day I post a page. I'm not sure if I've been posting at the wrong time of day or the wrong day of the week (Sat at 9AM PST) or what might be the cause? Or maybe it's just an unpopular genre or something? Just wondering if anyone had any ideas or suggestions as to why this might be all of a sudden?

Link to the comic if it helps: https://tapas.io/series/Happy-Pines13

Maybe your comic isn't featured on the phone App, that's more popular than the PC.

I have the same going on. I update every 48 hours and get around 8 - 10 views each time.

Seems pretty normal, at least at first blush. Usually as time goes on, later episodes will have less views than older ones just because readers naturally fall off, either through disinterest, waiting to binge, or even forgetfulness. I noticed that, at least on the app, you don't seem to have thay many subs at the moment, so there's less of a likelihood that there are returning readers. And lastly, even though your summary makes the comic sound like and mystery, fantasy is the first genre, so consider changing that.

It's just hard to get any subs when I get next to no one reading. I had tried changing the genre last week to see if it would affect my readership but alas I still only got another 2 people with this post so I'll probably change it back.

Yea i understand that, it's a slow roll in the beginning. Fantasy, however is an very saturated genre on the site, my comic started under fantasy and it was pretty slow gains, so it's a genre to be careful with especially if you're small and it's not the main story element .

I just started reading it and im really enjoying the story and art style. Idk if you’ve fixed it in later updates but my only critique is that some of the text is a little small to read comfortably on mobile.

Otherwise the only things i can think of that could be causing a drop in views is some readers dont have time to read updates immediately and let them build up to to binge later. Also, related to that, since theres a lot of updates most new readers will take a while to get up to date hence most the views being on the older chapters and the newest chapters only getting a few views per update.

Also changing the main genre from fantasy to mystery or horror would probably help increase readership as updates only show up in the main category and most the fantasy comics are more angels, demons, werewolves, isekai, high fantasy etc than real-world supernatural mysteries (and presumably the former is what most readers within the category are looking for).

Also fantasy is one of the most saturated genres so you’ll likely have more chances of being seen on one of the other categories aswell
