are there any other creators on here who went out of their way to make music for their own projects?
Yup! there's lot of people like us!! We aren't the only ones!
For those that did, how did you come about picking the style of music needed for the story?
Most of them come by artist influences and how i imagine the story. I love to listen to pop, dance , techno, and I like to add that style in certain comics. In other cases, I do studies of music, for example, if you are making a comic about the story of France or in the country France, you can listen typical songs from France to influence the style, etc.
Was it difficult to capture the mood you wanted to convey?
Well, I´m still waiting for people reactions about the music. Some seem to like it. I enjoyed making them. And i really hope the message in my music can be reached to most of people. I think you could try making those songs and publish them to start showing your musician's style.
How did your audience take the music?
Most of them listen it one time and then quit or simply forget, or maaaybe they can´t find the links. I´'m not sure what's the problem ^^; The reason behind this is that my music can't be played automatically so people can´t find it. Users don't like to click things, they prefer to just read and listen, and if is not automatic, they won't listen it. (sad reality)
specifically answers with reference to the programs they use to compose music
There's lots of programs, I use audition, FLstudio, some korgs from 3ds, my own old casio ctk xD, the ones that @ar-ninetysix mentioned are good too!
I saw you in the other thread and i think your music is great!
I compose and arrange my songs too, this is the soundtrack of my webcomic (still working on more songs):
@vworksart @ghostieblu @FedoraSpooky @directorador @DokiDokiTsuna I would like to hear some of your songs!
Also, i wonder if there´s a program for good instrumentals. I want to get better in instrumentals for my comic. I would like to see some opinions about my tracks too! ( ^0^ )°
