To be honest, I probably wouldn't be interested. But not on principle.
I don't dislike the concept of the space western (or any western) but a lot of creators just miss the point when it comes to writing them, and instead of a beautiful exploration of a lone character and the different kinds of relationships they form during their adventure-- some long-lasting, and some for less than a day--
You usually get pages and pages of 'PLEASE love this character (and their annoying sidekick...) PLEASE PLEASE. Look, they're getting into wacky situations! Look, they're saving the day! Look, all the one-off side characters that you'll never see again instantly take a liking to them! Why aren't you enjoying this yet??'
...As a result, I tend to avoid the genre. T_T I took a chance with The Mandalorian, and I was rewarded for it far beyond my expectations, but normally I wouldn't bother. Especially with an amateur writer. =/
