Are the Hashtags Helpful?

At the end of updating your comics, it asks if you'd like to add some hashtags like an SEO thing. I always add something at the bottom, but I don't really see many people use them??
Are they actually useful in having your comic show up on/off the sight when people search, or is it just... sort of there? lol
I feel like it does something. And if it does, what kinds of tags should we put?
EVERYTHING related to our story or update?

They may help a bit. Your comic will be easier for new readers to find your comic when the search for a title. Your comic will be in those tags. I use tags for my comic as well it seems to help a little bit.

Tags on your series are searchable, however tags on individual episodes are not and thus don't really do anything. Sometimes people put little jokes in them, personally I use them to list the names of any characters appearing in that episode, to make it easier for people like me who are bad at remembering names lol.

Ah, okay! I see now. So the series tags are more important than the individual episodes. Haha, that's kind of fun to use them that way. xD
