Artist looking for writer for collaboration

Hi, I'd like to collaborate with a writer with similiar interests and create a short webcomic.

I'm really interested in Afrofuturism or Speculative Fiction (stories dealing with social issues such as inequality, racism, etc. told from the point of people of color) and fantasy stories.

I love tales that feature action, adventure, mythical lands, mystery and suspense, and have a clear message for readers.

I'm a huge fan of authors Octavia Butler (Kindred, Xenogenesis trilogy) and N. K. Jemisin (The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms).

I've never done a webcomic before, but I have done some character design work and a few illustrations. I'm hoping to work on something short, sweet and fun to complete.

Dude... link your portfolio. Don't give people extra work, this is like... the first rule of business. Don't tell me about your product SHOW it to me. Do you go to a job interview without a resume and then tell them, "if you are interested in hiring me I will show you my qualifications"? You don't, so this shouldn't be any different.

@J.Z.Castillo While I certainly agree with your point, I see no reason to use that slightly hostile tone. That kind of behavior will only make it harder for writers to find artists to collaborate with.

@ArupakaPrince As @J.Z.Castillo mentioned, we would very much appreciate if you could showcase at least some of your past work. In the worst case, even one piece of artwork is enough so that we can get an idea of your style and what you're good at. It would help us decide if we'd like to collaborate with you.
That point aside, I have to commend you for how clearly written your post is. You state your interests and desires very well.

I've been known to write very short stories with a prompt given by someone else, so if that's what you're looking for, feel free to contact me! That would give you the upper hand on the story you want.

Keep in mind though, that a short written story can easily turn into a rather long comic, so it would be nice if you could tell us what length you imagine for your webcomic
