I'm making shorts.... and realized I am out of elastic... DANGIT... it's for my son.

The shorts almost done and then the fabrics. He picked them all out himself.

So I made the shorts in the picture and wore them to school as a joke today. Anyone asked about them I was like "What shorts?"

anyway I don't really do this often but a few months back I (with help from my mom) I made this of my online friend's character (well mine, but she made it for me) for her birthday

@nostalgicroxas oooh your cosplay looks really cool! I want to ask if you know how to dye a wig? I do it with clothes dye but the water must be boiling/very hot and some fibers get damaged.

@ghostieblu thanks! I used to glue the little clothes but I have to sew them now because they look way better! That plushie looks great! Especially the spiral of the hoodie!

Synthetic dyes are what you want to use and you still need to set the dye with vinegar and such. And you can't dye a wig so much as tint it, unlike fabric where with enough dye rinses you can eventually get it to a color you want 80% of the time. Whereas wigs just tint. You can get another dye effect by using alcohol based markers, like copics, but that still needs to be set with vinegar and has a higher chance of "rubbing" off on your sweaty oily skin. >:

thank you so much!! I didn't know about vinegar. True, the wigs only got a hint of color. Fortunately I only need pastel colors. I will fix them as you said.

no thank you, after doing the scene at the table with loads of tea pots i don't ever want to draw them again. (i kept them so i can just paste them in place when needed)

The last crafts I did was left hanging at my grandma's house last christmas lol. They were basically letterings and christmas lanterns

I encourage my little sis and bro to do crafts but its so sad they get attached on mostly doing "art" on computer instead rather than doing something handmade.
