Oh wow, I asked the last stupid question here...well, I'm back with another one:
Why do my batteries keep exploding...?
I used to keep two emergency packs of AAA batteries in my purse and in my backpack for my pen-mouse, and as of today they are both covered in pale powder that I can only assume is battery acid (or something..).
They've only been in there for a couple months (the ones in my purse went kaplooie after just a few weeks) so it's not like they're super old or anything...I'd just like to know why this is happening. Is it temperature change? Physical agitation?
And are they still safe to use? I'd be wary of using the ones that actually exploded, but what about those that are still intact, just covered in powder?
