“Yes, now now. The queen is not who we thought she was.”
“We can’t leave yet,” the Aviator said quietly.
Wyndham was not in the mood for that sh#t at the moment. She marched up to the Aviator, not bothering to respect personal space. “Yes. We. Do,” she growled. “I am not letting Pam near your monster of a mother again. I don’t care that you have a kingdom to run. We’re leaving.”
“I said we can’t leave yet,” the Aviator said, trying to stay calm. They weren’t doing too well. “There might be a way for you to leave this world. But we can’t just waltz into the vault and grab the artifact unnoticed. Do you-“
“Hold on, hold on,” Silas said, making himself visible again. “Artifact? Vault? What’s that about?”
“Like you’d help,” the Aviator scoffed at him.
“Believe it or not, Aviator, I never particularly liked your mother. And… And I was in the throne room during the interrogation.”
The Aviator didn’t say anything.
“I’m sorry you have to put up with her,” Silas said, sounding genuine. “I do want to help, and I think everyone else does, too. But you have to explain what you’re talking about in order for us to do that.”
The Aviator sighed. “…There’s an artifact,” they said again. “The Bird’s Eye. It’s kept in a highly guarded vault in the basement. We use it to create Angels every other month. It… It might be powerful enough to send you to another world.”
