Most people said almost everything i wanna say, but to reiterate few points...
The thumbnail is not doing you any favors. I personally check almost all front page featured comics every single week, even if i don't like them, mainly for research purposes. Your comic is one i glossed over and didn't click on because of the thumbnail. It's way too busy and crowded. It's not a printed cover, so no need to squeeze the title, background, and the entire cast into a tiny little thumbnail. Just a zoom-in of the protag (and his vitiligo buddy probably, cuz he has the most interesting design of them all) would be enough.
I can't tell if we're still in Prologue and this is a flashback because of the solid black background. If it is not, i highly recommend you change it to white and reserve that only for flashbacks.
You start EP1 with an exposition when you can simply just type the location's name in a big and unique font. The teacher is already telling the kids what they're doing here, and that should be enough information for the readers. Remember, this is a webtoon, not a novel. if you can show it, just show it.
Now onto something else...
I really need good talking points should I ever get a meeting to be featured. I am trending pretty hard right now.
I'll be brutally honest here... you're not really "trending pretty hard" right now. at all.
What's happening is that you've got lucky and featured on the front page on WT's app. Alongside... //counting//... 62 other webcomics as well, more or less. Not counting the banners and the Discover tab. You'll be there for a week, Tuesday to Tuesday. If you keep updating at least every other week, chances are they'll keep featuring you as long as you're "relevant".
It's Thursday over here and i'll be real with you, your stats, right now, aren't that impressive. None of your current episodes even broke 200 Likes, and the comments are at the range of 20~27. Normally other comics in your situation would get AT LEAST an average of 500 likes per episode, and 50 comments on average to show there is actual reader engagement. Even then, that would be a moderate success.
The closest example i can think of for you to examine is this webcomic
launched barely 2 months ago. dark skinned cast. less than 10 episodes but uploads consistently.
average of 3000~3500 likes per upload, and 100+ comments per upload (save for two episodes)
quickly gained a massive readership the first time it got featured. Currently sitting around the top percentage of two very competitive genres; Comedy and Slice of Life.
Your comic is not even in the top 100 of Fantasy right now (another competitive genre of over 13k other webcomics) But top 2 in an unpopular genre, Historical, of only 330 other webcomics. Most of which are either dead or troll "comics".
It doesn't hurt to be very ambitious, and i'm glad you managed to sell this many books. But to expect a featured offer when you're just started and your stats are quite subpar compared to other work in this platform is coming off as quite arrogant.
In fact, if you aim to be a featured artist, i highly recommend at least you look through other featured work in the Fantasy/Historical genre they have right now and see what they're looking for.
SubZero is a great example to analyze.
Right off the bat, the panel count per update is way over 40 panels. Sometimes 60+
And they update every single week.
Most of your episodes are below 30 panels, save for the one with action going on.
iirc, they only ask for 30 panels per update, but are expecting more. That's just bare minimum.
Another thing is, unless you upload like a maniac, over 4 times a month for like... 8 or so months, don't expect a featured offer any time soon (unless your work is unbelievably exceptional!)
I gave this example before but here it is again
Simple art style with a simple premise in two very competitive genres, but got a featured offer in less than a year because of their consistency and maniac upload rate. very few can commit to this, but that's just me.
TL;DR you still got a long way ahead of you, but good luck all the same.
(also not looking for a critique atm. thanks for the offer tho)
