I'm sorry to see this type of thing happening. I'm relatively new here so my numbers are low and I realize that that is a two-part situation, 1. I'm new, I'm not that well known, I have no reputation 2. I don't promote myself much here, most of it is outside of Tapas trying to steer people towards Tapas.
I stopped looking at other people's numbers a long time ago. My dad always said to never worry about the next guy, concentrate on what you're doing and do it better every time you do it.
The blame game is just such an incredibly losing game. It benefits no one and the person insisting on playing it ends up feeling worse than before.
I'm aware of the "premium" people but basically I just want to keep working on my stuff and if something nice happens, well, okay. I've seen some of their offerings and most of it isn't to my taste so I don't read it. It's no reflection on whether it's good or not. I always assume that's the same thing with my stuff and my style of writing, it's not always to everyone's taste.
Advice is always subjective.
Write hard, write true.
