The whole subscription system is rotten. It reminds me of the pushers who used to ring every doorbell to sell subscriptions to newspapers and magazines. We should get back to what is the most important thing for the author - the readers.

Don't worry, the vast majority of us grow out of it soon enough :] These threads will always exist because there are always new people coming in, but once you get sick of copypasting your material everywhere and seeing no growth, you tend to move on so you rarely if ever see the same person persistently sticking with this method over the long term. I personally see little harm in it; it's a good learning experience c:

And one more thing that ticks me off is when people comment with no sort of explanation to their project. It is literally just a link. Same with the post too.

Like, well, now I am really not going to read you story. I want you to do SOMETHING. Intrigue me, hook me. Don't just post a link and expect people to be interested.

i will admit, i have a bad habit of not doing that. reason is cause i feel if i over explain, imma just put people off OxO
