I think realistically, for licensing reasons, it has to be based around individual comics, not Tapas as a brand. Most of us aren't exclusive to Tapas anyway (and Tapas is actually dialling back how many exclusive Originals they publish now as well). I think also, readers, and potential players here tend to feel more attached to the comics they read than the Tapas brand.
Plus, if you wanted an expansion themed around Tapas series everyone would know, you'd end up with a lot of comics that aren't suitable for an all-ages audience card game, and which aren't really action-focused in a way that suits this sort of game or has strong crossover with the playerbase of CCGs. There are some premium comics that'd probably work amazingly, and be quite popular, like The Witch's Throne, Magical Boy, Pandora's Devils, The Beginning After the End, though. It's just hard to say bow much the licensing would be for all those, and with such big name comics, smaller ones might feel a bit overshadowed!
I'd be interested in the possibility of a set based around my comic, Errant, more than being part of a Tapas set... since it's an action comic with a lot of characters with magical abilities that'd suit a CCG... and also a fanbase in TTRPGs from my DM's Guild content and luxury D&D journals and stuff I sell, that make me think maybe I could push for some synergy with a product like this. I have an MA in Games Design, so I'd be pretty comfortable discussing how to develop the vibe of my comic into mechanics that felt interesting, and distinctly "Errant", but balanced with other sets.
I ran a successful kickstarter for my first print book, and sell it on an online shop at the moment, and I'd likely be doing a kickstarter for a second book next year some time... a card pack or exclusive shiny/alt art to go with one as a tier reward is a very interesting idea... And I'd probably be happy to stock some sets to sell in my online shop for the UK market too (including ones packaged with the base set, maybe?) Feel free to DM me if you're interested.
