A few changes I've noticed in the six months that I've been drawing my OC texas

  1. the sun-moon on her cheek went from having 9 rays to having seven
  2. her hair became a darker shade of blue
  3. her face went from being kind of hamsterish to being more ovular.

Corrine (the one with the pink hair) had relatively a low amount of change from the earliest sketch to her modern incarnation. I mostly toned down the level of curlyness in her hair to make drawing her easier for me, and squaring up and thinkenning the shape of her eyebrows, although I’m not the best at drawing consistently.

Nives (the tall masked one) had a lot more change but the essence stayed the same. Like I mentioned in other threads, I increased her height to ridiculous levels because I thought it was funny. I made tons of little adjustments to her uniforms like giving her a second sash, changing the embroidered pattern on the collar and lapel, and widening the appearance even more through the greatcoat on her shoulder.

In the 10 years of Kyara's existance she's shanged quite a lot.

She's become notably less cartoony over the years.

I did a redraw of the first version of my protagonist that I did a bazillion years ago!
I prefer the actual version tho (last image)!

pre-series .........................First outfit.........................second outfit...............third concept

third outfit..............................Alien tournament outfit......current outfit I guess

I fear I didn't do a lot of initial planning before the comic started as far as character design went so I've made several changes over time, just waiting for them to get back to earth so that I can give them their actual outfits back

My initial character drawings gave everyone stubby legs, small feet/hands/eyes, and generally look blocky and stiff. This was mainly in 2022. By 2023 I got a better hold on making the character poses feel looser, giving them longer legs/defined anatomy/thicker outlines.

I changed Claudita's outfit over the years

...and she doesn't age. Claudita forever looks age 20-25.

I decided to look back at my old magma doodles and found some super crusty pics of Daevon. They aren’t the oldest, but I don’t feel like pulling out my sketchbook.

A more recent drawing:

As you can see, I used to struggle with the royal scar mark thing a lot  It was a different shape every day

Texas looks like she simply grew up!

One of my characters, Leonna had a major hairstyle change! Throughout the story, I changed her face shape and body type, which isn't as noticeable as her haircut.

Lol, I see what you mean. It does kinda look like Texas just got older
