Ok so back in middle school I mainly used my basic grey pencil for drawing because I was too lazy to color, that was around the time I made Mikoto. Originally she was a human school girl who dies in this weaboo vocaloid song inspired story (The song was: In a rainy town balloons dance with devils) that I gave up on a long time ago and she became a ghost in a battle shounen-esque story instead.
However I realized drawing is hard and drawing action scenes is even harder so I made this new story called MikoMooMaa instead which I later revamped because the original story for it sucked balls. She is now a Ectoangel (ghost angel)
Shortly after that I realized the color choice sucked and her dress was dumb to draw so I gave one last quick tweak, this is how she looks now.
I am missing a valuable design somewhere in between 2012 and 2015. I remember it like it was yesterday, but I can't find the file

He's undergone some interesting changes through the years. Some of the ideas remain, but I think I can live with the latest one

I remember sitting in class while I was in High School just painting the one from 2012. I didn't care much for his design, and just threw something together

2015 was his "official" design of when I first created my comic "In the Name of the Creator". Something felt off, and so a few years later (2018) I redesigned him to have more of an eye-catching silhouette. The 2021 design is more or less the same, and has been the one used in the rebooted comic "United We Stand" since 2019-ish I believe

Really not a fan of Daryl's uniform in the old one, so glad I changed the demon uniforms to purple. and idk what I was going for with Dana's straight blue fringe lol (i do miss drawing her curly hair tho so i might change her hairstyle in the future)

I don't have any finished 2021 arts of the next two characters, Aure, and Lucifer, bc I'm still working on their intro chapter but it'll do for now. Their designs haven't really changed, I just got better at drawing them

And lastly Ammy! There's a ton of failed redesigns between these two images but I don't have the time to search for them rn. Unofrtunately I can't find any full colour art of him from 2015 but his hair was originally purple and his eyes amber. Also you can see that I took some inspiration from the 2015 demon uniform for the 2021 angel uniform

I've had Rekki around as a character probably going on twenty years or so, so she's evolved a lot over time, but you can still generally recognise a lot of the key elements of her design even in the oldest drawings. She always short, has straight eyebrows, that distinctive spikey fringe and hair the colour of a British postbox. She's also a fashion disaster in every. single. version.
This is the oldest ever drawing of Rekki. In this one she and Subo were supporting characters in a different story. I realised quickly they were the best characters and the story ought to be about them.
Here's a general overview of Rekki's development over the years after that as the protagonist of "Fan Dan Go" which got rebooted a bunch. You can see how the shape of the sword changed from this.... I don't know it looks like a crappy western take on a ninjatou or something... to a bit choppy thing probably inspired by Bleach, to Rekki's iconic and silly "rectangle with a hilt"
Rekki is a character who changes clothes. So next arc she will have a new outfit, but I wanted to continue from Fan Dan Go by starting her out when she made her adult debut in the chest high red sailor pants and cropped jacket, because I think of that look as kind of "classic Rekki", and it was the outfit she started Fan Dan Go in, so I liked the idea of it being her first outfit as an adult in Errant.
The bottom image is of course the old thumbnail for Errant, but because it was drawn before I'd done many updates on that comic, so I'd actually only drawn Rekki as a 14 year old in an orange puffa jacket when I drew this one. When she did finally get the timeskip and wear it, I did make a few changes mostly to the colour scheme to make her more cohesive. Oh also she wears shoes that aren't from 2002 now:
I think it's amazing how some characters make such an impact on us that they stay with us forever.
I'm not sure where my old sketches are of some of my characters, but I do have Tarow's. She started out as a cat-knight when I was in grade six, then a few years later she evolved into a dragon-knight and the third pic is her current state.
The first pic makes me laugh because EVERYTHING I drew when I was a kid was some sort of cat ^^; Now it's kind of a toss up between cats and dragons ^^;
