Character ideas

Hi! im making a story with some friends and the base idea of it is that the world is as diverse and different as ours with many different languages, levels of development, race, religion ect ect.

The world as its developed becomes more centred around technology but removing the need for any magic and places that havnt been developed tend to have more magic, wild life and any creatures too.
The world itself is quite lenient when it comes to race or creatures or lifestyles so please abuse this

I created this so that maybe people here could create some of their own characters and people from different backgrounds / religions / countries too me could maybe help with putting that into the story so its accurate and diverse, please leave any character ideas or questions you have and teach me about new backgrounds and lifestyles that I havnt had the chance to experience!

Hey! This sounds really cool. Making characters based off different cultures is one of my favorite things to do!

A culture I've been really interested in and have been studying lately are the Wakhi. Because the Wakhi live in such a isolated area, in terms of your world, they wouldn't have technology, and would have more magic.

If you're interested in this, I'd love to create a Wakhi character for you. Good luck with your story!

You almost never see Maori based characters. Any of the Polynesians would be super cool to read. The Goryeo dynasty from korea is super neat too

What about a citizen of one of the most "advanced" nations that after journeying to the places where magic still flourishes desires learn the secret arts and take them to his homeland? He sees magic as a mean to help fight the rich oligarchy that rules his country.

I like that idea! trying to bring back a craft that is fading because of advancement and trying to use it to free himself and the people around him! Thank you!!! ill make sure to write them in, it would make for some interesting conflict as well!

They come from Guam and the Northern Mariana islands as well in the Philippine sea the people there is mix because of other country's invading the land
