Character introduction done well?

Hey everyone!

I've recently introduced a new character in my comics over the course of 3 chapters (I'll link the first of the 3 chapters here), would anyone be interested in giving them a quick read and letting me know if they felt the panel transitions, and general feel felt good?

Hello, again! Just being more active in the forums over here...

Okay, back to the topic. Your'e transition of the new character is done pretty well. Like I said on the other post, your panel transitions have a good flow.

You didn't force the character to be there, you had an excuse to put her there, and she seems to have personality. I still find it entertaining that even with the hero there in her presence, she isn't super surprised. It really makes the hero more human and out-going, since he didn't freak out about it either. Not something you read/watch everyday.

And that's all I could type for now, I look forward to your comic.
Also, I really like her style of clothing and choice of colors.

You don't really have any transitions. Every character just pops up in a panel.

You have no backgrounds, so we don't know where they are. You have no establishing shot, so the reader does not know these characters live in the same house, much less are in the same room.

Backgrounds are characters too and contribute to telling the story.

The transitions are that way because of the type of comic it is. It's one page chapters which connect to the next chapter, with each issue usually taking a new tale or tone unless it connects...similar to Snoopy comics I guess, so I couldn't really focus on building suspense to a character or establish without half the issue being that building. Though by reading previous chapters, you'd know the characters

You're correct about the backgrounds though, those are something I'm working on in upcoming chapters, because without backgrounds...things look a bit plain.

Yeah! It was a bit of a challenge when making the two converse, one idea was to have her be like 'wow that's kind of cool', while another was to have here question whether the guy was a hero or just dressing up haha. Definitely!

Yeah, I never usually draw short haired females, so I thought I'd make a character with short hair lol, I'm glad people like her

I'm glad my comments were helpful. I do have to repeat, that you have no transitions.

A transition would be a panel that bridges the actions between two panels.
