Introduction: Tell us a little bit about yourself
Hello! I am chocuu and I am an artist who loves cute & fluffy aesthetics. I work a regular 9-5 so draw during my free time. Hoping to get more practice with my art and find some more inspiration this new year. Also would love to meet some fellow creatives!
Project Details / Pitch / Sample
Looking to collaborate with a writer to illustrate a one-shot comic. Probably in the mobile webtoon format (single panels or vertical scroll), but possibly in traditional page-by-page form. I am more familiar with webtoon so was thinking of releasing there but would like to look into tapas and other platforms too! I want to work on a story that I resonate with and enjoy.
Genres that I lean towards are Slice of Life, Romance/Drama, Fantasy and Isekai, Josei, as well as Horror/Psychological. For a better idea, here are some works that I love and would love to work on something with similar elements:
I love Ichinose Kaoru's one-shots. A lot of fantasy elements, as well as some horror/creepy elements in Viskeith no Akai Ningyou which I'm into!

I also love Aki's work, think they have an interesting take on storytelling different form other mangas (believe they take elements from literature):
Utahime (can find online)
I also like Oshimi Shuzo, which gives a bit of an unsettling but very interesting storyline about human relationships:
Chi no Wadachi (can find online)
I also really like this story which has a mystery element that keeps the readers reading ~
Slice of life with a relatable and more deep look on relationships:
Yumi's Cells (webtoon)
Edith (webtoon)
My guilty pleasure has been Isekai webcomics, but I feel like the genre's growing so fast and a lot the works are derivative/boring to me lol. So would love to work on this but the story needs something unique about it and have character depth. Here are some I do like:
The Villainess Reverses the Hourglass https://mangapark.net/manga/the-villainess-reverses-the-hourglass
Your Throne (webtoon)
A Stepmother's Marchen https://mangapark.net/manga/a-stepmother-s-marchen
Paid or non-paid? Collaboration? Partnership?
This would be a non-paid collaboration. If profits are generated from the webcomic produced we can discuss what profit margins are.
Not too familiar with this, but if the script provided does pretty well detailing what each panel will have (in writing) so that it's not as difficult to storyboard on my part, or if a proposed storyboard (drawn out) is provided, I'd say a 50-50 split. If I end up doing most of the storyboarding work perhaps 60-40 split?
Skills you are looking for / what you are looking for
Focused on finding a good storywriter that is pleasant to work with share similar taste in stories! Would like to get a webcomic script with clear enough panel descriptions so it's not too difficult to storyboard.
To ensure that we make a match, I would like to see past scripts or collaborations you've done before. If you have any scripts written up and think would be a good match that would be the most ideal! If you would send me the script to read through we could move forward the quickest
Schedule/scale (Deadlines, the length of the work, etc)
I see this project starting as soon as possible and perhaps taking ~0-2 months conceptualizing story and art (may be under 1 if story is already done) and ~3 months to complete after beginning illustrating. (Thus, want a story that would be reasonable to finish in that time frame)
Contact info (Be it through PM's here or outside the forums)
Please only reach out about collaborating if you can include samples of your work, and if you have a script that you think would be a good match bonus points! Also, please read through this post first to see if you think we'd be a good match in art style and story taste.
Either PM here, comment below, or discord chocuu#6412.
Feel free to comment any additional questions you may have. ^^

Mainly do painterly anime art. Not sure how detailed my shading style will be with a webcomic due to the amount of panels, but will see depending on the project! I'm not very experienced with creating webtoons myself, but am up for the challenge.
