I've never understood how or why, but I've always been told my dialogue sounds or works really well. Not humble bragging, but genuinely confused on how/why people find this to be the case with any of my work, including the novel I'm writing right now. Heck, I pestered my high school language arts teacher in my junior year to read what I was writing, and while they had no idea what was going on with my story, they were saying the same thing 8 years ago.
Aside from that, I'm hoping my worldbuilding and little bits of suspense/mystery have improved over the course of writing this novel; haven't gotten to write many action-heavy sequences just yet, but I'm looking forward to writing the boss fight coming up in the next couple months.
