Personally, I don't think anyone should ask for a collaboration before doing their own work. You're a writer, you don't need an artist to write, so before trying to make a comic, you should publish your writing. I don't personally think anyone who presents themselves as a writer but doesn't have writing they can link to right off the bat should be asking for an artist to collab with them.
I think I feel stronger about this than some. And I can respect that you do write with or for your fiance in some capacity, and have a script you're actively working on. But I really think a comic script, unless you're planning on drawing it yourself, should come second to building up your reputation as a writer by writing stuff and sharing it.
Thats how I feel about it. Not said to judge, just encourage and inform in a way that will hopefully eventually lead to collaboration for you.
