Mine is still in early stages, but the plan is to have the audience piece the story together on their own while telling it almost entirely visually or through subtext.Combined with the fact it's going to follow multiple (seemingly unrelated) characters' perspectives, you get a comic with 17 panels in a row with no text at all.Not to say there is no story. In fact, the overall plot was conceived for more than 15 years, spanning over 2 books (well over 1500 pages) that tell of an era before the comic book even begins. It might not be "never done before", but it sure is not playing on the "mainstream" card.Since there are only a few pages available, you might want to just bookmark\subscribe for later, though.
There's much more to this one than meets the eye. It's a strange combination of cute\casual and mysterious with borderline horror aspects.
I'm not too sure, if my comic fitts here perfectly, as it has it's predictable romance plot :,D but I focus alot on character growth. Also the characters itself aren't that typical. https://tapas.io/series/The-story-of-Osram/info
Are crossovers also considered „out of the norm“? ^^“Now, I wouldn‘t call it something you find everyday - given that I‘m doing this for my own self-amusement - but I do have some typical elements from the shonen-genre in this thing.
I think the approach to the plot is pretty unique though, feel free to give it a try! ;3
Still working on this one, but the panels of my comic have hidden clues that unlock a bigger part of an ongoing arg with the companion lore site. Thinking by the end of each season a big secret will be revealed on the site for eagle-eyed readers who have put everything together!
Narratively, the story explores variations of a singular timeline, so sometimes scenes will repeat but with minor changes that could affect future chapters... Check it out if you want!
Well my comic called Regular life of Eliza. But if you read my comic you'll find out...It's not regular.Does my MC a mute count as unusual? I guess that counts.
Dark comedy about a teenage boy attemptining to escpae a destructive downfall. Along with his psychotic next door neighbor, and strange plush friend.
My comic has multiple storylines happening in parallel and perhaps the point of view characters aren't that common
My comic is an all-ages sci-fi that's told in a non-chronological order (which has a point, I promise!)
My comic has a... twist to the MC... (I won't spoil anything if anyone wants to try to read it)It's also full of TV show/movie/anime/video game referencesNone of the characters are humans since it's set on another planet (and I don't really know how to draw humans, lol)
Here's the link to my series and to episode 1 if you want to try it: https://tapas.io/episode/2348337
Also I wish an amazing day to every other fellow creator
hmm do anthropomorphic superheroes in a dystopian world on their journey to save the world they once were to destory count??
My comic is a psychological horror drama about a mosquito cult. It's a look into family dynamics and relationships as well as how abusers convince you to stay.
It does cover difficult subject matter, but if you're interested, here it is!:
I haven't made much progress yet, but my comic is about a guy who's choosing to be homeless.
I consider it not commercially viable because it will get openly critical of work and standard modern life, and I'm just bracing for the possibility of being cancelled for 'romanticizing homelessness' XD (I hopefully don't get too preachy though )
My comic is a coming-of-age story, and I hate coming-of-age stories.
