I'm all in for any kind of humor!!!
Hell my brother able to make me laugh with the simplest gestures
Bro: Imagine a valley
Me: okay... (already suspicious where he is heading towards)
Bro: And the valley filled with cute bunnies
Me: awe.... So cute (you must understand I have a livid imagination)
Bro: And plenty of flowers!
Me: Aaahhh I see where this is heading! The Flowers going to eat the bunnies!
Bro: No, no pictures huge snakes crawling everywhere
Me (Shivers) Dud please no, not the cute bunnies!
Bro: And the bunnies tear up and eat the snakes!
...
I burst out laughing for almost 20 minutes as the image of these cute bunnies turn into the most hideous zombie monsters ever! Sharp teeth like sharks, black in place of white in the eyes, eyes blood red... I still get shivers!
He did it just to prove a point to his friend who was in the car.
So for any "South African Characters":
South Africans have quite the humor in general,
We are always ready for "braai" - even have a whole holiday dedicated to "Braai" dubbed Braai Dag (Braai is like BBQ)
There is even in some families a huge boo-hi about "rules" regarding Braai.
Farmers are the most stubborn people you will ever find in SA (almost...) but the the 1st to jump in and help out anywhere in SA (bringing water to places ravaged by drought) Bales of food for cows/sheep/horses where other farmers had a terrible harvest...
Yes there are white people in South Africa (I always end up explaining to people why I'm South African cause they think there's only Zulu's/Xhosa/Sotho/Etc. folks in SA
No the wild animals do not walk in the streets of our cities or towns
South Africa has 11 official languages English being 1 of them (Others are Afrikaans, Zulu, Sotho, Xhosa, Venda, ???) Well don't expect me to know all of them since, only speak 2.
The Garden Route is also known as the Wine Route (Best vacation destination trip in whole of SA in my opinion)
And this is important "Kaffir" a middle eastern word meaning someone of different faith/believe/culture is considered a swear word like "Shit" or "FucK" just 100% worse if you say it in front of an African (Black person- Zullu, Xhosa, Sotho, etc Person) and thus a taboo word now in SA unless you want to get accused of racism (good writing topic for some who write about racial differences); please note I wasn't trying to be rude or disrespectful in any way to any one... (Just had to throw that in...)
So that is just off the top of my head.
