That's a good feeling. I sort of felt the same way with my first novel that I've stitched together from three stories I was writing in the same verse. But then they all came together in my head and ended up as a novel. It was not perfect, and was multi-POV, but I liked it.
Also, I am feeling a bit invigorated. I do want to finish and publish my current project, but I also decided that next comes the rewrite of the Of Lead and Steel--a serious rewrite, with a stronger central story and world building. It is a portal fiction, and I absolutely adored its fin-de-ciecle setting and the monster line-up, but I just wrote a rough 40K draft on Royal Road and that was that. I want to change it into something far more intriguing. Also, since I don't have to worry about Royal Road's prissiness, I can go back to making Steffan pansexual, so he truly fights and fornicates as a key character concept.
Particularly because someone mentioned how my angel-demon was too close conceptually to Lucifer, I want to poach some of the ideas from the cyber-world portion of it and integrate them instead into the Lead and Steel, as well as make the Faustian line stronger. Anyway, it makes no sense to you, guys, but makes sense to me, lol.
I am feeling like a sponge re-inflating with moisture.
