1) Sassy and dynamic friendship
Holy fuck is this an instant YES for me... I could watch a show that goes nowhere and does nothing if the characters are just entertaining and just teasing each other (and I have, it's called konosuba), but seriously... Good friends just goofing off without anyone gettign angry or emotional, and instead, responding a sassy comment with a bigger sassier comment, that is just dope <3
2) Healthy romance
Yes, encourage your SO, say your feelings with each other, the good and the bad, support them in their endeavours even if you don't feel too hot about it, and be happy when they accomplish something, again even if you didn't care to begin with its important for THEM, make them feel special and loved, stay with them on the bad days, do sweet little things just to make them happy. Do silly things together just to get a laugh out. And be good friends before being good lovers.
3)Determination and acomplishment.
When a character studies the situation and figures out a way to pheasibly change things, that is the best feeling, no predetermined succes, no infalible protag, they suceed because of their own ability to learn and apply that knowledge to the problem at hand.
4)Grounded and logical combat
Super power moves are the 'lens flare' of action... Flashy and sometimes good looking, but not nescessary to make a good fight... And sometimes you wished there was an option to remove or scale them down a bit.
A good tactical battle between minds that is back and forth and has grounded rules is more interesting than constantly escalating power levels that grow from breaking a boulder with a punch to breaking a mountain with a punch. (and that is not to say you can't do both, it's just really hard)
5)No grimdark, realism is funny
Realism does not equate dark and edgy, realism is a grounded portrayal of reality within that universe. if everything sucks ALL the time, that doesn't mean the characters that live there are gonna think that (think dorohedoro with it's extremely dark humour and characters that are unphased in the sight of several bodies)... Humans are adaptable and even in the suckiest and most terrible conditions we are able to find joy... Even if it is loosely held together by us as we try to supress our traumas, the term 'deflecting with humor' exists for a reason.
True realism is allowed to show humor... And sometimes that humor can even amplify the message several times!
