Pretty much what happened Harry isn’t allowed in the afterlife (there was an error that the operators in the gates of the afterlife skimmed over) until he finishes his unfinished business. Which is to have a kid; raise his imaginary son. (And the whole time he was confused but he found his unfinished business)
