Did I did anything wrong on my new webcomic? Why the low views?

hello all! Bunnysama here...I'm fairly new to webcomics in general, but still decided to upload my comic on Tapas and Webtoon. However the views are not great.... getting views is a grind, not to mention subscribers. So I would be really happy if any of you kind folks can talk and look at my comic, and give me some opinions about it. Did I did anything wrong? Why is the view so looow....Thank you for your time!

Hi Bunny, welcome to Tapas!

You can only appear in the Fresh section of Tapas once per update per day, so when you post multiple times in a day, you don't actually increase your visibility on the site more than if you posted once. So that might be one reason your growth feels slow, if you're thinking "I've already posted five episodes!" when it's more like you posted two. ^^

That said, it's good to have a nice chunk of content when you start, so new subs have something to read and get hooked. Comics are all about the slow grind and playing the long game. Your concept is cute and unique, and the art is nice, so I hope you'll have good luck! Have patience, work hard, hope for the best.

If I was going to note anything, I'll just say that first drawing the the main characters as children was confusing because the boy is so large and the girl so small. It doesn't look right, and you might try resizing them in Photoshop or similar.

i'll try to reschedule my upload time and date into one episode a day.
now that u mention it, the scaling of the little boy and girl really looks weird. i see what i can do to change it.

Biggest reason is because you literally just started your comic. And you're actually doing really well for only having two episodes up! Just keep posting.
I've been here for about a year now, and I have ~3k (which is small compared to the biggest comics but to me it's pretty good), yet when I started I was only gaining ~3 subs per update.

Three subs per update is pretty typical. I'm not sure what percentage of readers actually look at the fresh tab as opposed to items displayed on the landing page. I think it's pretty low.

I've noticed it depends on what's happening. Before and after Inksgiving, I think a LOT more people were checking Fresh, probably on a webcomic roll while looking for people to donate to, and I was getting some regular views despite no difference in my social media. Right now, it's way slower as the end of the year gets near and people are busier with holidays, exams, vacations and whatnot - which is why a lot of people also take breaks now since they're not going to get much movement anyway.

Huh I never thought of that！ I saw a lot of creators taking breaks, but never think from the readers perspective....even myself are super occupied end of the year! (⁎˃ᆺ˂).... somehow that makes me feel alot better hehehehe....Thank you so much!
