Difference between Fans and Readers on Smackjeeves?

Evening All

Probably a silly question, but does anyone know the difference between the above? Are Readers just people who come back more than once and fans someone who has selected something to be a "fan"?

I'm still getting to grips with the Smackjeeves set up, so any advice would be great.

Probably a better question for the SmackJeeves forums, but as far as I know you've got the right of it.

I was on the forums there talking about the set up more or less asking how things work apparently the readers is an average of people who come back to read within a certain time frame. But if you go to the forms and look up the "news " it should say something about " new butlers or the set up" someone should have the answers there for you.
