Direct link to subscribe?

Has anyone figured out a way to create a hyperlink that subscribes readers from other sites (say, Facebook/Twitter) without first sending them to your comic as a landing page?

I'd love a way to be able to say, "Hey guys! Click this link to subscribe to my comic!" and for them to be able to do that. I feel like that would greatly increase my conversion rates from other sites to subsciptions on Tapastic. I get a lot of folks who click my Tapastic link and read, but then don't subscribe (despite my clear call to action instructions).

It seems a bit counter productive, as I'd like to see the content before subscribing? I don't think there's such button.

Sure. I'm more so talking about converting people who are already fans from other sites to Tapastic.

That makes sense. There's the layout change though - there might be readers preferring a different reading experience. I like reading the comics on here because it's easy to keep up with all the stories, but I have friends who like Tumblr better.
So, in this situation, checking the site first before subscribing would be really beneficial.

I think people would easily abuse that to get hollow subscribers.

Plus, you need an account to subscribe to a comic on Tapastic, so if the person was new to the site it wouldn't work anyway.

If people on other sites are already on Tapastic, then they don't need a specific link to subscribe -- they know how it works. If people on other sites are NOT already on Tapastic, then they wouldn't be able to subscribe anyway?

Agree with what other said. I looked through the codes around the subscribe button and found no way to be able to do what you wanted since people first need to be logged in on Tapastic before they can click the subscribe button. I'm pretty sure any other social media that requires an account to watch/subscribe/follow don't have that function for the same reason either.

I'm in agreement for sure, though you don't need to already be registered to see and click the subscribe button currently. I just logged out to double check.

Right now, if I'm unregistered and I click the subscribe button, Tapastic offers me a few different ways that I can register for an account -- Facebook/social media being one of them. So there is definitely some API between Tapastic and Facebook to make it easy to register. I've converted some folks this way -- they clicked on the link to one of my comics, then they clicked on register, then they clicked on "register via Facebook". Then they keep up on Tapastic and end up finding other comics that they like too.

I'm just wondering/wishing if/that there was a way to skip the middle step and take folks straight to the "register+subscribe" page. I think that I'd get more conversion, and ultimately Tapastic probably would too, I'd think.

Actually the way all website uses to give you an option by using your Facebook/instagram/twitter to register is simply an autofill form so you can register an account on the site easily. There is no connection between the site and the social media site in question.
Example probably would be easier to understand. So Tapastic asked you to register in order to subscribe and give you the option to use your facebook -> Because your facebook contains your information include your email, the signup form simply just pull that content from your Facebook and auto-fill it in for you. And because you are already logged into your facebook currently, often there is no need for an email confirmation sent by Tapastic to confirm the registration of your new account.

With that saying, there is no other way to skip the middle step. If you use your facebook, essentially you are STILL creating a new account, just using your facebook information to autofill the sign up form and save you some extra time : )

Thanks! I was hoping that someone had found a shortcut to reduce the number of click-through steps that maybe I'd missed, but I guess there aren't any. Maybe one day!

Many people would probably get mad that they just clicked to check it out and are now committed to a comic they don't know too much about. That and if they're not registered, I doubt it would work. I get what you mean though, people who check it out a bit on other sites might be more willing to sub if there was a link for them to do it directly rather than have to do the extra 'legwork' of signing into another website to continue reading, not everyone is willing to do that, and will just move on rather than continue reading. I get it. I don't think the button exists though, sadly.

Right, yep! Totally agree. I don't think that I was super clear in stating my initial idea. What I'd love is for a special hyper-link that takes a new user from another site to the sign-up/registration page if they're not registered and them subs them if they fill out the registration, or directly subs them if they're already registered to Tapas. It's just something I've seen elsewhere on the net and it seems like a user friendly functionality. But it doesn't seem that that's a thing, and based on responses here, maybe it shouldn't be? I was just curious.
