Discord for small creators and their fans

Hello there!
I'm pretty sure most people here would appreciate a place to promote themselves and connect with fans and other creators that is slightly lesscrowded than the tapas official server.

My intention is to create a supportive community for both my fellow creators and myself where the smallest or beginner writers and artists get a chance to build themselves a name and a community. For that, I'm implementing a feature! Every week, I will read some works sent in #self-promotion and promote the three pieces I like the most with a small review on them.

What do you say? Please, ask any concerns or doubts you may have! Thanks for your attention!

I'm all for it and I'd like to thank you for your efforts first and formost.
I do have some questions though (you don't have to answer if you find them to be irrelevant):
- What does the term "beginner" encompass? What's the criteria for entering? For example the number of subs, episodes, likes, or something like that?
- If an artist sends their work at a specifically unlucky week and gets pinned against extremely good works, do they ever get a chance again, like a loser's bracket? Because, another week, they might have been chosen as one of the best three if the competition was weaker.
- When you say "read some works", how many panels, pages, episodes, volumes does that imply? Some people have 4 panel comics here, while others have complete sagas posted as an episode.

Disclaimer: I am aware of the nature of this promotion and realize that it's a casual, lightharted attempt at pushing smaller artists up and also know that it's free. I'm not complaining or being smart, but am genuinely interested.

Yes, there is no limit for the amount of times you can apply, so if you try, you can always have a chance to be "featured".

When you say "read some works", how many panels, pages, episodes, volumes does that imply? Some people have 4 panel comics here, while others have complete sagas posted as an episode.

By that I'm not referring to any specific length or amount. I mean "enough to let me give decent criticism". It could be the whole work, two chapters or five pages. I'm not the most righteous person and definitely will commit mistakes along the way, so I think that reading about half the story or (if it's too large) a quarter of it in case it's finished should be what I need to judge.

However, I may really like a story that comes 4th because the 1st, 2nd and 3rd were also pretty good, so I was thinking of implementing an "honorable mention" or something like that for works I think should be looked into with more detail

By that I'm referring to people who aren't known at all, perhaps I should've used a wider term. This Discord is intended for both those who are just starting and those who have been trying for a while and to help support lesser known creators.

However, I haven't stated a number to limit who can and who can't enter.
