Do images work for every viewer or do you find some images are missing when you read?

Hi!

New here, and I'm wondering if the way I want to execute my novel is going to work.

It sounds like not everyone can get images to work when they are putting them into their novels, as a creator. BUT, I was wondering if anyone knows if it ALWAYS works for the viewer? If the creator manages to get images in their chapter, will every single viewer always be able to see the images?

This is important for me because some of my dialogue is actually in my images, like a comic panel. If it doesn't work for every viewer....they're going to be missing out on some bits of dialogue and interaction, making the chapter incomplete without the images.

So, is the availability of seeing in image consistent for all viewers? Best guess? I just want to know so that, if it's not, I can be sure to tweak some things here and there to cover all bases in the event that an image happens not to work for a reader.

I haven't read any series with images in them, but I'd suggest running your own test by starting a series (on an alternate account if worried about messing up readers) and testing images.

I'm definitely working on that. I only have so many devices I can test it on as one viewer though

Why don't you run a beta test with the users here and ask them to let you know if they can see the images. As far as I know, I've seen all the images in novel's here, but I wouldn't know whether anything was missing.

You can post a test page on the site and then post how it should look in the forum. Then people can confirm it for you.

When I write my work, some images just stand out in my mind and I try to portray them in art pieces found in each chapter. I had to work super hard to get my level of art up but I am quite happy with my progress. I've been getting such great feedback. Here are some examples found in my novel:
