Do you prepare multiple character sheets?

I'm intrigued, the big idea portions? Do you mean like a loose world building thing?

Oh, that sentiment I can share. I usually can only do a variety of silhouettes then straight into colors and final design (give or take some adjustments after I notice I'll need to draw an outfit thousands of times), any more thinkering than that and it's like pulling teeth to me. Though I usually try to get at least one artwork of a major character in long before they're in the comic, just in case I get an epiphany and suddenly I want them to have a whole new acessory or different hair.

Big ideas like story arcs and how they fit into the bigger overall plot. I really enjoy planning how those all weave together as I'm doing a long run fantasy with an ensemble cast so there are a lot of moving parts that need to fit together.

In the planning stage, mapping out how smaller stories fit within the larger one is thoroughly enjoyable. But when I get down to the nitty gritty of new character designs, I throw a minor internal tantrum like a toddler who is too excited about life to take that nap he needs.

I guess that's kind of what I have. And a 26 page script. It's a taster script for a larger graphic novel I might publish as a Doujinshi later.
