Do you promote your novel on social media?

I do it as much as I can. Reddit doesn't really have that much space for self-promotion, but on Tumblr, you can basically post whole ass chapters. Also, this is social media.

Here's my advice:

1. Host your story on multiple sites, as many as you can get.
2. Post links to it all over tapastic forums, tweet the link, and post the chapters as tumblr posts.
3. Lazy chapters won't get any readers. What got me 300 reads over the course of years on tapastic got me 400 reads over the course of months on fanfiction.net once rewritten to be something people wanted to read.

I post everywhere I can. I've got accounts on Face Book, Instagram, Tumblr, Wattpad, Inkitt, Biopage, Ko-fi and here on Tapas. I haven't posted a chapter as a Tumblr blog yet, but great idea.
Lazy chapters are a problem on any of these venues. I can see I have one or two in the novel I'm posting here already.

I post whenever and where ever possible, but the tapas forum seems to be the best place to get promotion done.

Not really. I don't have a large enough following on social media of people who would actually want to read my novel for that to work so I mostly just post about it on the forums.

I stopped using social media a few months ago because a) too much noise b) my art wasn't really appreciated there. Wanna try going on without it.

I do, a bit. I use Twitter and Tuesday Serial.
Most readers come from my comic, though.
