Hey guys, I'm closing this topic since the answer seems quite clear that no, no one should ever be banned from expressing themselves, and the original post is addressing events challenges on the Webtoons site as a cause to ban people instead of the Tapastic community.
Webcomics as a whole is a free and experimental medium where all artists can freely express themselves from expressive gestural paintings of beautifully surreal images, to long form epic tales, to quick and quirky gag strips. All are welcomed in webcomics.
The use of copyrighted material in a comic is a tricky situation and depends on the circumstance. Always if it feels out of place and wrong as a reader, you should flag the offending comic and let the site moderators handle copyright infringements.
@AffectedMind, Instead of a topic on banning people, perhaps keep it open and positive with a topic about is it right to use copyrighted material in a comic would have yielded a better discussion. Please feel free to private message if you ever need help creating a topic or rewording something so it's more open to positive constructive discussion.
Friendly Neighborhood Gryphon Rider out!
