Does your series have any positive male role models?

I know this is a very weird thread topic but does your story have male characters who could serve as role models to male readers? I say this because nowadays, men need more positive male role models than ever before. With ideologies of people like Andrew Tate and Sneako gaining traction, we need examples of male role models who exhibit Positive Masculinity, rather than encouraging sexist and reductive views of the world. Im not say webcomics willl be a major factor in combating manosphere talking points but anything counts in making society better for both men and women!

I think Roy and Ernest are pretty good role models. ️

Ernest is a smart inventor and is very headstrong. He’s not really good with reading people but he tries. He is a good husband to Rosie and overall a good friend and a mentor figure to Elsie.

Roy may be a ball anxiety but he has a big heart and is loyal to his friends. He is a good brother to his sister and stands up to his mother who tries to control the both of them. He feels a lot of pressure being the heir of The Evans Estate after his father’s passing but he tries his hardest to keep up his father’s name and his example.

I think we need more men like this. It’s essential for boys to have positive role models.

Fr. Jose Penafrancia... former special forces soldier turned catholic priest. He helps level up Eman who is the MC but isn't really a good example of a man (At least when he found him).

Manfred... a minor character. Street preacher but former super soldier.

He's Brother Samson. Street preacher. A lumberjack, carpenter, and veteran seeking his proverbs 31 wife. He is a good provider and protector. He CAN but WON'T cheat because he fears God. But his standards for a wife? Being model tier is not enough

Of course I have a lot maybe... like podly who when he discovered his girlfriend's mental disability he didn't abandon her and preferred to be chaste because he felt guilty towards her and took care of his daughter from her as if she was the meaning of life in his view in addition to the fact that he is a respectable and sensible man... and I also have the character of Alexei who may not be considered an ideal man because he is naive in emotions and believes that people are good like him but he has really changed and has begun to treat abuse in the same way. He is closer to men who are victims of domestic violence but after they develop seriously

I have this one story that’s about a 21 yr old guy who struggles with showing his feelings and wanting to rely on others, but there’s a specific reason for this. His entire body lights on fire when he feels strong emotions. Not good. So he’s learned to close off his emotions because of this and he doesn’t like relying on others because he feels like a burden. Throughout the story you can see how this all negatively affects him and his mental health. But by the end of the first book he ends up finding a way to live with his emotions (context: there was something that made it so he had to keep his powers a secret that gets resolved, and he also gets a better job so he can afford more fire-resistant clothing.) And then the next book is a lot about him working through his emotional issues and trying to be more healthy. I feel like the character does exhibit positive masculinity traits later on in the story

Yes, though he's dead, my female lead's father was a great role model in Damsel in the Red Dress. So is her little brother though he isn't a role model for her ofc.

In "A Dozen Morning Glories" my male lead is definitely an example of positive masculinity, trained up well by his positive relationship with his sisters

It was extremely important to me to write positive male characters.
Lee is a spoof on toxic teen vampires. He died in his 30s and spent years in therapy, emotionally heal himself before becoming a therapist himself
Having an emotionally mature male lead was very important to me. I love him

Jay is positive too… just more- odd(?)

Yes, definitely! In my fantasy novel After the Journey, I have two positive male role models I really love writing:

Siegfried Schwanstein – He’s gentle, soft-spoken, and always puts his friends before himself. As the group’s protector, he believes in doing the right thing quietly, without expecting praise. He might not be the loudest voice in the room, but he’s the heart of the group.

Friedrich von Hardenberg – A bold and ambitious warrior who isn’t afraid to take risks when it means protecting others. While he’s intense in battle, his loyalty runs deep, and he’s constantly trying to become someone worthy of the people he loves. ️

Both of them bring strength in different ways! Siegfried with emotional wisdom and compassion, and Friedrich with bravery and unshakable loyalty.

I agree with this 100% and that´s also something that changed drastically in the last 10 years and
all the slow progress between 1970s-2015 seems to be ellminated and some of it is worse than
ever. I´m absolutely shocked when I listen to some of the 2025 podcasts and how young men
and women view the world
