Time period: Modern time's with a bit more tech advancements that often meld nature and technology.

Fun fact: the first thing she did as she got away from her "castle" was to dye her hair blue! To signify that she was a rebel and would do whatever she wanted from now on lol!

This is perfect. It captures him so perfectly and you're right. He would so have an animal companion... He receives on later in my story, but it's not a squirrel. Ironically, it is red though.
