So as the title says, I'm a little concerned about the engagement my comic gets every time I post a new episode.
The first episode I posted got over 1k, but for every episode I post it gets about 100-200 less views.

Does this happens to anyone else? And is there some kind of reasoning behind it?

Doesn't that happen to pretty much every piece of fiction ?

Yes. It's natural.
People will go to the beginning, read a bit, see it's not for them, and leave. And some people will read a bit, have to do something, and then come back to the series way later.
Unless you have a specific episode that is shared some place and views jump for that episode, a gradual downward slope from the first episode onward is expected.

Yeah it happens pretty often, but you should look from another pov like, Use the second episode as the base.
The first episode will always have more views/likes/comments because it's the first one they see when clicking on the comic/novel.
So we can only measure the real number from the second episode onwards.
I'd love to receive comments tbh.

Attrition is normal and happens to everything be it youtube videos or books or webcomics or what have you. Don't let it discourage you!

i didn't notice the view, i'm more concerned about the subscribe~
