First time lettering, some feedback is appreciated

Hi, I'm practicing letting using existing comic pages & scripts.

Here's what I did with some practice pages from Judge Dredd:

• this is not my art/story and I've never seen the released version when I lettered this

How is it? Needs more space? unreadable?
There's a lot going on in that last panel (script called for a ridiculous scene) but I filled in the sfx where I thought it made sense.

Also, can anyone suggest some alien/creature fonts? I'm not sure if the one I used is legible enough but it's supposed to look really weird.

Not bad! Personally I'd prefer more leading (space between lines), but it's definitely legible.

Thanks! I add leaders to captions but this particular script has a bunch of text walls so space comes at a premium. Good suggestion tho, I'll play with that to fill out some balloons.

i would go for 1 or 2 more size for the text in the baloons...

I really liked it. The style of the lettering fits the style of the comic. Just be careful about the multi-balloon wording, like on the top of the first page's panel. It's a little too close.

I was thinking this too but it looked way too big on print so I just matched the size in other print comics. This is probably on the smaller end but the script has a bunch of text walls in it

Thanks, this comic has a kind of over the top vibe to it so there's a lot of exaggeration haha. I tried to make that multi balloon flow into the other - logically it made sense but I agree, it looks a bit jarring.

Thanks, I spent about a week on the whole thing (6 pages) and it was surprisingly fun!
