Friends on Tapastic and beyond?

Hi Tapastic!

I'm Tristan! Creator of The Foolish Brave series! I took a long hiatus to improve my series and get started working on a few games for it! (which is my dream!) I just came back yesterday and I feel like I got too caught up in getting views and subscribers to stop and smell the flowers! I feel like people don't use the wall feature for much more than bulk "thanks for subscribing posts" and I'm open to the idea of using Tapastic a bit more socially! I'm looking for creators and readers to connect with, watch their comics grow, and well, be friends! If anyone wants to wall post, talk about anime, inspirations, their latest episodes, or anything else they've got going on, please post here and let the friendliness commence!

I'm partically into anime/manga stuff, or funny comics! (But generally I like narratives over shorts)

Yeah, it does kinda feel like the profile pages gets forgot. I hear on mobile devices they're kinda hard to get to? However, I do like looking through the "thanks for subscribing posts". Sometimes creators will write special messages along with the image. It's also how I find a lot of unknown comics on Tapastic. I try to encourage creators to post their "Thank yous" to my profile instead of private messaging me the "Thank yous", because I like to help promote other comics where ever and whenever I can.

But yeah, I completely agree. It'd be nice if they were more of a Facebook like profile where people were comfortable enough to talk and hang out on them....ponders.... However, I know some comics where they do that on the comic pages themselves, and that actually helps out the comic series more. The more comments, shares, likes a comic has the better chance of getting featured. So comics that have long chains of comments are actually in a better position to make front page. That might be why the profile page is kind not used for that...hmmm...

But either way, sure I'd like to be your friend on Tapastic I've been following your comic since the beginning, and I love the sprite animations you have for the game so far. XD

I sometimes think of the subscribers list like its a friend list.
I don't know why.
Though in that logic, I don't have many friends. (Which is actually true where my social life is concerned....)

I use my profile to talk about my webcomic or ask what my readers want, or just post my illustration. Most people that post on my wall also post ramdom stuff, check it out! http://tapastic.com/MemoriaCaelestie I will talk to you or the other five people that visit frequently my wall. I post my occasional rambling onto my wall. I nice to use the feature and talk with people or just air some thoughts. Not sure If anyone gets notified if someone posts. Everyone in my 'reading list' dont ramble on their wall so I don't know.

Hmmm, it might be different for creators in the support program. I know that a red notifications pops up next to their avatars to show a new post was made to their wall, but I don't know if their subs are notified.

Creators not in the support program yet, don't have that. Subs aren't notified of their wall posts.

I agree, the wall is a great tool for actually connecting with your fans and other creatives. Wall surfing may be in my future.

Hi! Xander here.
I'm new here and would love to be friends. I like anime/ manga, and it has influenced my style a lot. My current comic is just shorts, but I've got a more narrative-based fantasy comic starting soon.
