Alright, since everyone is ignoring this, before I try to go through the new replies and figure out which ones I'm actually going to respond to, I think this needs to be restated:
"You can offer as many as you want, but only one at a time: like, you can't toss me a lineup of 8 characters and ask me to critique all of them, nor can you spam 8 replies in quick succession. You can only ask me to critique a character after I've gotten through with the last one you offered up."
Also, a lot of the new replies are super barebones; like completely ignoring all the guidelines and just tossing pictures at me with ZERO context. And it's concerning to me, because I feel like people are misunderstanding why I started this thread...
If you're expecting me to just comment on how attractive all your characters are, or how pretty your artstyle looks, or how good you are at drawing...you're in the wrong place. ._. That's not what I'm here for.
Character design isn't just about basic art quality; it's also about context, intention, appropriateness, and communication. And I started this thread to critique character designs based on ALL of those factors.
For you to just post a picture and say 'tell me what you think' without any elaboration...it's like going into my story react thread and just posting a synopsis for a potential novel. It's hard for me to even know what to say, because all I see is a simple idea. I don't have any way to tell how well you executed it, or what you even tried to do.
So yeah, if you care, feel free to go back and edit your post, so it at least follows the one basic rule that I clearly stated in the OP (see above). If not, then I guess I'll just do what I usually do and skip it. =/
My policy with these things is basically "if you ignore me, I'll ignore you", and since multiple people in a row are now ignoring me, I thought I might as well make sure everyone understands what's happening. At this point, it's not that I'm forgetting to update this thread, it's that no one is following the rules, so I have nothing to say.
