How about a small touring?
I don't showcase the world but just a place, which is definitely in a fantasy world. The place is in the remote highland area. You can enjoy the cool breeze on the hills. The air is fresh, sometimes there will be mists.
Down the hills eventually you'll reach MC's home village. What you see here is a small route to a side of village flower 'lane'. Turn left is to reach the market area & residental area. (To the right is to the village main entrance, which it not ready to be shown)
Animal folks comprises of 3 types: mammals, avians, and reptilians/amphibians. They're mostly mild village fellas. All have to be civil here otherwise they may not be allow to stay.
One of the main feature is the "villager market". Just go straight and go up the small steep hill.
The market opens at late morning till sundown. Facing the path you can see the far tallest mountain from here.
Want some instant food? you have a few options there. I recommend snack balls they are like potatoes but soft like buns (cooked or fried). Wanna try a sweeten unknown veggie on a stick...OR you can try the bug-cone! (mostly for reptilian/avian tastebud)
There is a indoor-outdoor restaurant for visitors to but it's not yet to be shown.
Oh ya you gotta have at least some 'Tants' to buy food. Tants are the pinwheel-shaped folk coins. There's a way to gain some by running errands, but I doubt they'll let a visitor. Errands are usually for close neighbors.
Here are some merchants & services in the market.
Pottery
Liquor
Water Stall
Fish
Veggies
Food Stalls
Meat
Cobbler
Imported Goods
Home Accessories
Coin Exchange
etc...
Also, 1~2 trader caravans usually comes from near towns in pre-noon and leaves at mid-afternoon, everyday. Many merchants are waiting for their imported goods.
The market opens at late morning till sundown. After sundown/night time only a few "shops" were still open. Most folks will stay home at night, visitors may stay outside a bit longer till late night.
Creatures In the outskirts: Not much critters. Rabbit-like creatures can be spotted sometimes but they camouflage very well & very fast. Sometimes a gang of wildboar-like creatures may appear (mostly over another hill in the other side of village), they are aggressive, avoid them.
As an allowed visitor, you can stay inside an empty hut (made for visitors) or stay a night on a residential hut (if the residents allow). A typical hut may look like this (Maor's home)
Outside there's a outdoor cooking stall for cooking. At the back of the hut there's a smaller door into a small stall for you know... releasing (I would not know how hygienic is the stall, don't get in there)
If you stand on the villager market can peek between the stone walls you can see half of the village vista here. (wouldn't be as good viewing angle like this pic but close enough)
There's a up-stream river where folks can collect water, wash their appeals and etc. A small dam was located where the part of river is deep enough to take 'baths' there, the folks (and kids) likes to cool out there when the day's hot.
Some residents have business open inside their huts, such as carpentry, draper, antiques, herbs & tonics etc. There's other huts such as chief's hut, learning center which has 2 stories, modified restaurant hut, etc.
Across the wooden bridge and up the another side of the hill there's a very elongated cottage farm. That's one of village main financial sustenance. they sell their special crops in bulks out to other towns. (that's all I can say for now)
The village is overall a calm and remote place. Outside intruders (savagers) are very few. Security: Only a few guards and many watchers to keep the place safe.
There's still a lot of things I can't spoil about the village
It's a good place to chill (or even retire), but not a good place to seek thrills & adventure XD
