Hi everyone! I’m a novel writer, and right now I’m working on The Shadow of Spirit, a dark fantasy story filled with brutal battles to the last breath, but also with themes that I hope will make readers reflect in some way.
The protagonist of the story is a 16-year-old boy named Kaito who has lost everything he once had and now seeks revenge. At the beginning of the story he is completely alone in a world where there are Possessors, people who can control spirits… and he is not one of them.
At the moment I’m writing the flashback of Genzō, an old man with a mysterious past.

Usually the story goes something like this; "gates suddenly opened and monsters destroyed our world", but not this time. About three to four hundred years ago, the world almost ended —and it wasn't the monsters appearing from nowhere and ravaging the land like in fantasy novels, but rather at the hands of humans first. The monsters came after.

After various humans began developing strange abilities, the world was plunged into war once again, following years of bloodshed — with no definitive victor — the monsters attacked.

Hello everyone, my name is AlSanders.

I’m a writer… or at least I’m trying to be. I’ve just published a new chapter of The Shadow of Spirit, a dark fantasy novel I’m currently working on.

The story follows Kaito and his journey of revenge. However, this chapter focuses on another character: Genzō, an old man Kaito met after the Shinkase incident.

In this chapter, Genzō tells the story of his past. For a long time he lived in a world of violence, killing simply because he was ordered to.

But something eventually changed. In the middle of that darkness, he found a light… something that finally gave meaning to his life.

This chapter tells that part of his story.
